The rally draws more than 400,000 riders each year

KANSAS CITY (June 4, 2018) – The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. is proud to announce it is the official sponsor of the 2018 Military Appreciation Day at the 78th Annual Sturgis® Motorcycle Rally™.

Held annually in the Black Hills of Sturgis, S.D., the rally draws more than 400,000 motorcycle enthusiasts to the area for 10 days of open roads and entertainment. This year’s rally will be held Aug. 3 – 12.

The VFW invites all attendees to join in celebrating and thanking active-duty service members, veterans and their families by gathering for the “noon crowd photograph” on historic Sturgis Main Street, flyover and more on Tuesday, Aug. 7 for Military Appreciation Day.

The VFW also encourages attendees to stop by the VFW kiosk located in the Armory each day until 8 p.m. to learn more about the VFW’s wide array of programs and services as well as information on how to join America’s largest organization of combat veterans.
